SHuiYuki's review on L'Oréal Miss Candy - Infalliable Eyeshadows & Glam Shine Lipgloss + DIY Gel Eyeliner!

L'Oréal Miss Candy Makeup Collection 2012

❀◕ ‿ ◕❀  "Bonjour Everyone~!!!"

Summer is here (.____.)" OK. I know Singapore is either rain or shine all year round - BUT that's doesn't mean we can't indulge ourselves and dress up like the rest of the countries who are now happily embracing their Summer days right?!

AND WHAT DOES SUMMER REMINDS YOU OF?

☼ For me, Summer reminded me of:

☼ BRIGHT CHEERFUL Colours!
☼ Ice-cream!! Ice-kachang is good too! :D

Ice Kachang is crushed ice that is piled into a shape of a lil hill and have super yummlicious food colourings swirled around the ice! Underneath the pile of ice are some fillings such as red beans, ah-ta seeds, jelly etc! *DROOLS*

☼ Beach
☼ Sleeveless tops & slippers

SO... Let's check out what L'Oréal has install any sweeties for this Summer!!! Wee~!!!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some disclaimer FIRST:

☑ I only review sponsored products which I have tried on myself for a period of time to see if the products are effective on me before I recommend to my readers.

Which is probably why some companies totally loath me for not posting my entry on time. Please, if I have not tried the products and do the entry for the sake of blogging just to submit before deadline, there is no creditability at all and it will also affect the Company's reputation right?

☑ All my reviews are 100% based on my HONEST opinions and not from the press release from the Company. I'm pretty sure my readers are internet savy to find out the ingredients etc.

☑ I'm having a combination & sensitive skin. If your skin condition are similar to mine, chances are my opinions are suitable for your consideration in purchasing the product.

Agreed to the aforementioned? (>‿♥) Then Let's GO ON!!!

Presenting...
L'Oréal Infalliables & Glam Shine
from Miss Candy Collection!!!

Left-Right: L'Oréal Infalliable eyeshadow in 032 Sassy Marshmallow, 031 Innocent Turquoise, Glam Shine 706 Miss Orange

L’Oréal Paris Laboratories came up with the bold idea of mixing two shades to treat your eyes to lusciously contrasting colors, a clever combination of 1 part one shade to 2 parts of another. This ingeniously appetizing idea resulted in a shadow that’s beautifully stippled with the predominant shade for delectably dazzling eyes.

BEST OF ALL:
  • The color stays intact: it resists rubbing and water
  • It doesn’t build up in the creases of the eyelids.

And for this collection, Color Infallible Miss Candy gives you a sweet, bright-eye look— there’s no
such thing as too much!

And yes, they are heavily regarded as the dupes for Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Eyeshadow (see picture below), which is retailing at S$41 each at DFS Galleria @ Scotts Road.

L’Oréal Infalliable Eyeshadows Available Colours:
  • Innocent Turquoise
  • Sassy Marshmallow
  • Naughty Strawberry
Price:
  • SGD$14.90

Like all Infalliable eyeshadows, they come with a stopper-like stamp that sort of press & hold the eyeshadow in place and prevent them from falling all over the place when open.

Sassy Marshmallow

Purple pigments with combination of pink and tint of turquoise pigments which blend beautifully with each other to give a very pearly iridescent purple colour which reflect a mild tone of purple-pink upon light reflection. Great pigmentation and excellent colour consistency. AWESOME!

In short - reminded me of pearly Lavender colour. LOL!!!

Innocent Turquoise

Blueish-Green pigments (though more towards the blue colour) with combination of tint of gold-yellow pigments. Very beautiful colour payoff and same as Sassy Marshmallow, great pigmentation & perfect colour consistency. GREAT JOB L'ORÉAL!!!

In short - this colour reminded me of Sky Blue + slight yellowish tone upon light reflection

Look how pigmented the colour is! And this is only ONE application on my hand!

Downside:

✖ The packaging. As much as I love the products, but I really find it a hassle to bring several mini pots with stoppers into my travel pouch during my overseas trips... And only if they could come up with an Infalliable quad or travel-friendly packaging so that travellers will have an easier time packing them into their bags and applying them during on board for touch-up/ hotel stays.... :X

Overall Conclusion:

(✿◠‿◠) This is definitely BUDGET FRIENDLY in comparison with her Sister brand (Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill) and the colour payoff and consistency are similar, or rather, on par with GA.

The colours are easy to apply (be it using fingers or brush); they glides on smoothly onto the skin and the colour stays ALL day even without the help of eye primer! Which is excellent for me as I have oily eyelids and I'm surprise the colour did not crease or smudge for 5-6hour!

Glam Shine - Miss Orange

L’Oréal Paris has embellished its star gloss, Glam Shine, with a delicious mix of two complimentary colors to create new iridescent, candied-colored shades. You won’t be able to resist the luscious swirl of Glam Shine Miss Candy. Give your lips a fresh faux-naïve look with bracing, shimmering,  sugar-candy shades that bring out their natural color!

The new Glam Shine Miss Candy shades are easy to apply thanks to a specially-designed applicator that makes your lips glisten with a shimmering glacé gleam.

From delicate tints to candy baby doll colors, the Glam Shine Miss Candy collection features 4 new mouth-watering, sugar sweet shades for irresistible, ultra-kissable lips:
  • Miss Orange
  • Miss Apricot
  • Miss Raspberry
  • Miss Marshmallow

A multitude of energetic colors: your lips will never get bored with Glam Shine Miss Candy glosses!

Price:
S$15.90 each

(っ◕‿◕)っ ♥ What I REALLY LOVE about this lipgloss (aside from its cutesy swirl packaging) are the fruit scent *YUMMY* and the tear-drop applicator which makes the application easier and more enjoyable!

The gold sparkles also make the whole lip look more dimension instead of looking just plain shiny. I LIKEY!

Yes, the tear-drop applicator reminded of Lancome lipgloss too! :X

 Before
After - NO lipstick on. Just the Glam Shine Lipgloss only
All the swatch colours are taken using Daylight

With these yummlicious colours around... my first thought was to create this look:

"How about Lavender Macaroon with Blueberry as filling?!"

Image from hicookery.com
Image from menorahchocolate.blogspot.com

LOL! How so?
  • Lavender colour - as the Base colour!

  • Blueberry (Turquoise / Navy Blue) - as the Eyeliner!

TADAHHHH~!!!! Okay. Not too bad for my virgin 'bakery' skills. LMAO!

And this ENTIRE face makeup is done using ONLY LORÉAL MAKEUP PRODUCTS!!!

:P I have to dig out nearly all my L'Oréal makeup products to create this look!!! BEST of all, these items can be found in your nearest major WATSONS outlet or Mustafa (I gotten HIP eyeshadows at Mustafa for only $9.90 each!)

 Close-up on the eye makeup...
And I'll be sharing with you on how to DIY GEL EYELINER!!!
:P Please feel the LOVE okay?! HAHA!

Makeup Used - ALL L'ORÉAL MAKEUP!!!

Face/Cheeks:
  • Foundation/Concealer: L'Oréal White Perfect Liquid Foundation - N1 Nude Ivory
  • Blush/Contour: H.I.P Eyeshadow in Adventurous
Eyes:

  • Super Liner in Black
  • D.I.Y Navy Blue Gel Eyeliner - L'Oreal H.I.P Showy (Dark Blue), Adventurous (Brown), Petroleum Jelly!!!
HOW TO D.I.Y Gel Eyeliner:
  1. Use NEW, CLEAN toothpick or disposable utensil (spoon/fork etc) to scrape your desire eyeshadow pigments/colours onto a NEW, CLEAN plate/cup.
PS: You can mix & create your personalized colour by mixing ANY 2or MORE pigments together!
  1. Once you got your desired amount of scraped eyeshadow colours/pigments, use Petroleum jelly of the SAME amount of the scraped pigments and mix together
  2. The texture should be gopey, similar to your existing gel eyeliner
TADAH! That's IT! You can now use your eyeliner brush and use your  new creation as gel eyeliner!

Note: Too much Petroleum jelly will cause the eyeliner to crease and smudge. So DO be careful not to use too much!

Lips:
  • Color Riche - 379 Sensual Rose
  • Glam Shine - 706 Miss Orange
