SHuiYuki's CNY Spring Makeup Tutorial

Damn, I missed my CNY last year due to my training in Japan and I'm SOOOO GLAD that I can celebrate my CNY in SG this year!!!#tearsOfJoy!

Imma eat all those CNY goodies - Ba Kwa, Pineapple Tarts, and of course my favourite Fried Shrimp Roll from Bengawan Solo! Ultimate CNY LOVE of all time! Typing all these already make me wanna head over to the living room and MAKAN (eat) em all!!!! *Drools*

and Of course, Black Jack and MJ with my lovelies!!! *evil laughter* MUHAHAHAHA!

And to celebrate my CNY celebration in SG, I have specially came up with this super easy + long-lasting + no drama-mama makeup look! HAHA!

Suitable for both day & night. Work & play!

 Close-Up (Eyes)

 Close-Up. The Korean-Inspired Gradient Lips

HOW-TO:

✿DEWY (LIGHT-DIFFUSED) SKIN

Step 1: After applying the basics (cleanser-tone-moisturize-sunblock), dab the liquid foundation/BB or CC cream of your choice and spread evenly onto the face. I'm using Real Technique Buffering Brush to buffer onto my face for a natural finish.

Step 2: Apply concealer at the 'problem areas' - such as blemishes, dark eye circles etc.

TIP FOR OILY EYELIDS: Use Oil-Controlling powder to pre-set the eyes after concealer. That will help to set the concealer + oil control to prevent your eye makeup from creasing. Apply moderately.


✿PREP THE EYES

Step 3: Squeeze out an extremely little amount of eye primer and apply onto the entire eyelid. Too much primer will cause the lids to be greasy and that will cause the eye makeup to crease instead. So do take note people! LESS IS MORE!

✿LINE + FILL EM UP

Step 4: Line your eyes with waterproof/ smudge-proof eyeliner.
SHuiYuki's I (eye) style 1: To always line in between lashes (or Chinese call it 内眼綫) to create an illusion of fuller eyelashes + bigger looking eyes!

Step 5: Apply Metallic-Beige Brown Eyeshadow  (Twilight. Second colour from Top Left of the palette) within the crease area of the eyelid.

SHuiYuki Istyle 2: Grab Metallic/shiny Beige-Pink (Twilight Pink. First colour from the bottom Left of the palette) and apply onto the center of the lower eyelid to create a bigger, rounder looking eyes!

Step 6: Apply Volumizing Mascara (Mac Falsie Mascara) on both upper & lower lashes.

TIPS FOR ROUNDER LOOKING EYES: Apply MORE mascara on the center of the LOWER lashes. It will help to 'draw down the eyes' and enlarge the central area! Try it! ;)

***Optional*** Apply falsies! :)

✿RADIANT GRADIENT CHEEKS

Step 7: Apply Matt Pale Pink onto the entire cheeks. This is not meant to be super pigmented and shown directly on the skin but to ENHANCE the other blush colour later.

Step 8: Apply shimmer coral pink (MAC Dainty) colour onto your cheek bones.

SHuiYuki Istyle 3: For sharper-look; sweep diagonally towards the nostril direction.
NOTE: The blush should stop 2cm (a fingertip width) away from the nostril. 

✿HANGUL GRADIENT LIPS

Step 9: Apply a nude-pink/ nude-coral lips all over the lips to diffuse the lip shape.

Step 10: Dab a bright rosy pink lip tint onto the inner center (both upper and lower) lips.
